Handled started with a simple question that didn’t have a simple answer.
We entered the mass tort space as investors, not attorneys. Our first exposure was the LA County Juvenile Hall Abuse litigation — we backed a lead generator and placed cases with two different handling firms. When we asked for a status update on our portfolio, it took weeks to hear back. The answers we got didn’t match. The lead generator reported one thing. The firms reported another.
We assumed we’d chosen the wrong partners. We hadn’t. The entire industry operated the same way: manual processes, siloed systems, and paralegal teams assembling reports that were already out of date by the time anyone read them. Data accuracy sat around 75% on a good day.
For the amount of capital at stake — across every firm, every funder, every referral attorney in the ecosystem — that wasn’t a minor inefficiency. It was a structural problem. Handled was built to solve it: one secure network that connects every stakeholder to the same data, in real time, without chasing it.
OUR MISSION
One network. One truth. Every partner connected.
Our mission is to connect the mass tort ecosystem through one secure intelligence network — replacing fragmented reporting, siloed data, and the manual processes that have defined this industry for too long.
